Certificate III in Tourism (Guiding)SIT30507 Certificate III in Tourism (Guiding)

EcoTraining Australia is an RTO providing the only extensive practical field guide training course in the country.

After 17 years of experience in Africa, it is our firm belief that practical, hands-on training is the single most powerful technique in nature-based tourism training.

That is why our training takes place in the wild- giving our students an intimate “hands-on” knowledge of the bush. We cover all aspects of working as a guide through a series of learning modules that include “bush classroom” lectures and 6-7 hours per day of practical “in-the-field” experience.

This course is an entry level 28-day certification that gives aspirational guides a basic knowledge of guiding. On successful completion of all course requirements, students will gain a nationally recognised and accredited qualification of Certificate lll in Tourism (Guiding). This acts as the first step on a career path into the Ecotourism industry with a free employment service offered on passing the course; resume posting through our website and industry interviews organised during or post the course.

Through a carefully structured, yet flexible course syllabus, our head guides introduce all aspects of what it takes to become a guide. Working with the industry endorsed and nationally recognised tourism training package, we cover all aspects of working in the Ecotourism industry and discuss the exciting opportunities out in the workplace for well trained guides.

As a pure tourist experience our Certificate level courses are very popular for those people wishing to experience the beauty of the Aussie bush in a unique way. Although we encourage all our students to take the assessments, as a holiday maker it is not compulsory.
