John and Jeanne- Top End Explorer Tours
John and Jeanne were on our April 2010 camp, where they met Top End Explorer Tours on our Industry Day. Since then they have been working in Kakadu on a daily basis and we wish them all them best in their future careers with Top End Explorer!

Make sure you say hello and give them a wave if you see them working in Kakadu...

Samantha Eveleigh, Cert III Course April 2010

"Hello ECO, I would like to show my gratitude, for this wonderful opportunity you have presented me with. You have given me the chance to expand my knowledge further...
This has started an amazing career path for me, and given me the chance to be a good role model for young people to show them they can get off streets and on to the right track in life. So once again I thank ECO for everything you have done.

Sincerely, Samantha Eveleigh"

Top End Explorer Tours- Anja Toms

Top End Explorer Tours is a family owned and operated business based in Jabiru, Kakadu National Park. Our declared aim is to provide visitors to Kakadu National Park with an exceptional tour experience by interpreting the natural and cultural values of the areas visited, demonstrating best practice ecotourism while encouraging protection, conservation, and preservation of all resources for future generations.

Naturally, we seek to employ guides who share our dedication and whose skills and knowledge are up to our high standards. We first met John Kingma and Jeanne Kingma-Drouet on Swim Creek Station in April 2010, only a few days before graduating from their 4-week training with Ecotraining Australia for Certificate III in Tour Guiding. We had the opportunity to experience first hand the quality of the training received as well as the trainee guides’ enthusiasm for their new field of work.

Jeanne and John have been with Top End Explorer Tours since 01 May 2010, both in the role as Tour Guide, conducting 4WD day tours to a number of key visitor sites in Kakadu National Park. We are certain that attending the course run by Ecotraining Australia gave Jeanne and John the knowledge and skills as well as the confidence to manage the transition into their new roles with ease.

We are very pleased with all aspects of their work and hope our new guides will remain with our operation for years to come.

Regards,
Anja Toms (Manager)
